The (Outer Race) SPLINE PITCH ERROR GAUGE is a comparative measurement jig that quickly checks the spline pitch error (teeth gap/segmentation error) of outer race components.
Using an approved (good) sample as a sample master, the reference contact state (zero point/reference position) is established. A dedicated contact (two-point/multi-point contact pin or ball) is then applied to the spline teeth of the outer race to be measured. The gauge displacement or contact balance (simultaneous contact/partial contact) is then measured based on the teeth gap deviation, resulting in a pass/fail or relative deviation judgment.
